1.Question:How is this sharpened?

Answer:After much use, I still haven't had to sharpen this item. But if I did, I would take it to a hardware store that offers sharpening.

2.Question:Is the blade flimsy or thick like a knife? Does the blade bend when cutting?

Answer:Started bending as soon as the blade was warm. This was during its first use and on 4" thick branches

3.Question:Will this saw cut extremely hard dead limbs

Answer:This saw has tackled anything I've thrown at it, from limbs to small trees. It takes a little more effort to use than a buck saw with a thinner blade, but goes where the other doesn't fit. If there is room, it wouldn't be my first choice for cutting exceptionally hard wood, but if you can only have one, this is more versatile.
